Ferro Silicon is an alloy of silicon and iron. Silicon is a strong steel oxidant used primarily in special steels and small quantities in mild steel.
Applications
- It is mainly used for the production of carbon & other alloy steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and electric steel.
- This alloy is also used to manufacture silicon, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant ferrous silicon alloys, and silicon steel for electromotor and transformer cores.
